I'm not worried about Boston figuring things out. There were a few things that fell flat story wise, but woven with moments of wow. They will be the next newest DCI champ.  I don't think we can discuss Drum Corps without cheese......yes BAC had some too.. I think every corps does.

Bring on the cheese!  I like 🧀

BAC definitely has the staff in place. Every staff struggles with show concept, especially with how to maximize  visual, GE and guard. BAC hangs around in music, less notes in percussion, moves visual and GE to the level of their guard, and they certainly could be in the conversation, cheese or not.

  • 3 weeks later...

A Nice picture posted by the corp Director today of what appears to have been a labor day Design meeting for the team.

All the same guys as the past three years..

Enjoying some stability on the design team is great to have in this silly season where most of the other corps in the neighborhood seem to making some changes..

Yeah but it was enjoyable cheese. Like fresh gouda. Voiceovers played over and over are like blue cheese left in a dumpster for 3 weeks.

Precisely

GET ON BOARD FOR 2020!

On September 3, 2019, in News, Staff News

The Boston Crusaders look forward to celebrating its 80th Anniversary in 2020 and we are excited to write the next chapter led by Keith Potter, Michael Townsend, Brady Sanders, Leon May, Ryan George, Colin McNutt, Iain Moyer, Erik Kosman, and Michael Zellers. The design team is already planning what is sure to be another engaging, exciting, and emotional show.

Behind every successful organization is a strong and stable staff. We welcome back all of our Caption Supervisors: Gino Cipriani, Colin McNutt, Michael Townsend, and Aaron Bailey. We welcome Jarrett Lipman back to the staff in the role of Brass Caption Manager, along with the other caption managers: Kylee Hubbard (guard), Alex Beltran (battery), and Jason Ihnat (front ensemble).

The depth and quality of our staff ensures that performers receive the individual and subsection support they deserve. The super majority of our talented staff is back along with some great – soon to be announced – additions. All are gearing up for an awesome audition season. Don’t wait! Make a plan to become a member of the Boston Crusaders and experience what it is like to leave a DCI crowd in awe.

At the DCA alumni-corps show Sunday, the DM of the Crusaders Senior corps... Jack LaSelva... talked about the 79 years of the corps' history, and how they were looking forward to the 80th anniversary. A classy gesture on his part!!!  BTW, that senior/alumni corps is terrific. Those guys can still play a bit.

Fran, we are blessed to have them. They are a local presence and a big supporter of the kids!
