3,5,10 year scoring trends for finalist corps.

Recommended Posts

Listed below FYI are 3,5, and 10 year scoring trends for this year's finalist corps and the Madison Scouts. 2010, 2015, and 2017 were used as starting years. I listed 3 year first

1. Blue Devils                     1.33   1.4   1.4

2. Bluecoats.                      3.33   2.8   3.7

3. Santa Clara Vanguard  2.00.  3.0.  4.1

4. Carolina Crown.            3.66.  3.2.  3.2

5. Cavaliers.                       5.0.    5.8.  5.5.

6. Boston Crusaders.       5.66.   7.8.  8.1

7. Blue Knights.                8.0.     7.4.   8.5

8.  Blue Stars.                   8.66.   9.2.   9.9

9. Cadets                           7.66.    6.6.   4.9

10. Mandarins.                11.0.   14.0.  17.2

11.  Crossmen.              11.33.  11.2.  12.8

12. Phantom.                  10.66.   9.4.    7.4

13.  Madison.                15.0.    13.2.   11.5

Going back 10 years the Crossmen were placing low but have recovered.

Most of the Cavaliers downswing and upswing has averaged out over the last 10 years.

BD and BK most consistent. Bluecoats and Crown surprisingly too.

why surprising?  in the last 10 years Bluecoats have only had 1 7th place finish, and 6 medal placements.  the other placements have been 4,5,or 6

Yes. Thought the 10 year stat would be significantly lower. Since 11,12,13 were 7, 6, and 5.

It's not because of the Jagged line outlier in 2017 on the 3 and 5 yr stat lines. Take the outlier out and we have 2.5 for and 2.25 respectively.

The 10 year would only increase from 3.7 to 3.55.

Ironically this 2017 show makes the Bluecoats score diagram look like A JAGGED LINE
