Best place to perform? The Pabst Theater in Milwaukee. The entire stage and shell vibrates and projects the sound into the audience.

It was different but we all played the hell out of the recordings.

Yes, and when you turned "backfield", there was no backfield, just a symmetrically curved outfield wall that guaranteed instant disorientation. There were no yard markers, naturally. It was a baseball field, after all. There was a rumor about an orange cone somewhere, but I never saw it.

The Manning Bowl was my favorite. I'm with Ghost on that. The audience was so close it was like playing in some oversize outdoor nightclub. What a great vibe.

What I received from a friend who I marched with.

"You have me stumped.  I think the prelims were held at Mcormick Place.

I remember going inside to a very large room.  XXXXXXX seeing St. MARY'S as we marched by them  XXXXXXX said to Dickie Pellitier, the DM, What are you doing here this is the Major Leagues.  Also in the room was Casper, Cavies, SAC and Garfield.  That is where they held inspection.

The night before was beautiful for the Parade, and we woke to rain.  It let up a bit as we went into McCormick Place.

It was definitely McCormick Place."

The worst field was Rockford, IL.

I am surprised no one has yet mentioned the hills and valleys in the field at Sevierville, Tenn before it was replaced.
