Here is a thought on broadcasting shows

Recommended Posts

DCI should work a deal with one of the major social media sites to broadcast the shows on their platform. For example Twitter could air the shows, pay DCI for the rights to use the content in turn to gain insight into the viewers and advertise. Here is the opportunity:

Revenue for DCI in the millions

Broadcast to  a broader base of people expanding branding and growing the audience around the world.

Technically competent to air the broadcast without terrible service.

No cost to viewers.

How would DCI make millions?

The social media platform would pay for the rights to broadcast, they are looking for content. Just like the NFL games that were broadcast on Twitter. Plus advertising.

a few years back, twitter made $15 million in revenue off of broadcasting 10 NFL games.  So $1.5 million per game on average.

let's just say that dci somehow got 1% as many viewers to watch as those who viewed nfl games, which is highly unlikely, but we'll go with it.  that comes to about $150000 of revenue for twitter for 10 dci broadcasts, so an average of $15000 per broadcast.

dci isn't that popular.  sorry.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

I’d also say it is quite likely the original poster did some research on the topic.

Yes, SSF probably did.  Wouldn't put it past Boston from looking into being involved with this type of venture, as long as the business plan is strong.

Great idea! Pro and college sports teams are doing it - it would be great if DCI and flo could make it happen!

pro and college sports teams have a far larger fan base and national advertiser reach.
