Houdini was so great! That Blue Stars era show design I do miss.

That One Second is a top 5 favorite show for me though. It showed how narration can truly add to a show, how a wonderful story can be told.

That One Second.    2014 was a good year

I'd always heard your entire life flashes in front of your eyes the second before you die.

First of all that one second isn't a second at all.

It stretches on forever like an ocean of time.

For me it was lying on my back watching falling stars.

And yellow leaves from the maple trees.

Or my grandmother's hands and the way her skin seemed like paper.

Sometimes I feel like I'm seeing it all at once and it's too much.

My heart fills up like a balloon that's about to burst.

And then I remember to relax and stop stop trying to hold onto it.

And then it flows through me like rain.

And I can't feel anything but gratitude for every single moment.

You have no idea what I'm talking about I'm sure.

But don't worry. You will someday.

I couldn't find this written out anywhere online so I extrapolated it from the end scene of American Beauty- may not be 100% accurate to the show. I've watched and listened to it enough to say it's pretty close.

It's amazing how BK took a profound moment from a movie I don't like at all and turned it into something so beautiful and powerful.

I would argue that BK 14,16,17,19 have the best use of narration in all of DCI.

BK That one second. Looks like another slam dunk, like the 11th place poll.

Yes.

While with 11th place I probably could pick any one of 5 or so shows including Drum Corpse Bride for 8th place there is a sharp drop off. Probably 78th and Madison for a very distant 2nd place.

Until this year it was That One Second. But I have absolutely fallen in love with Blue Stars' Call of the Wild. For my personal rankings they win by a landslide

BK 2014 by a mile. A very memorable show that placed them on the map.

Loved Blue Stars 2010 and Scouts 2015 as well. If it were not for BK 2014 finishing in 8th at Finals after placing in 7th most of the season, my final decision would have been a tough one between those two.

Blue Stars' Call of the Wild

I had them tied for 2nd place in my head. They seem to rank pretty high with a lot of people.
