nothing.

i think my concern is i bought a few tickets to a show in philly, or annapolis years ago, and i still get marketing materials from them. versus i bought tickets to dca, years ago, and it seemed like no one (who sells tickets) cares.

they care. But DCA has no office. It's no one's full time job. There's no support staff.

Coincidentally, we'll be at a family reunion in Camp Hill, PA on Saturday, staying the night in at a hotel and planning to drive back to CT on Sunday. But I see the finals is on Sunday, only a 2 hour drive away. If we stay an extra day we could see the finals...just thinking out loud with the keyboard...

I've never been to a DCA thing, only started hearing about it last year. I wasn't even aware of this Championship in Williamsport... odd. All the advertising went right over my head without notice.  If I had kept my eyes open earlier to all the hoopla leading up to it, I might have already made some plans instead of mulling over a last minute change of plans.

I'll wave as I drive through Camp Hill both days on my way up. Careful tho...that Jim Bari guy lives there

The high school was a nice home for us for a while with Westshoremen Alumni. I even learned how to properly play a triangle there.

And the Brewhouse Grille... terrific spot for a craft brew!

People get mad when I try to correct them on proper auxillary percussion techniques. It's a triangle...not a dinner bell from a western movie. Don't even get me started on quiros, claves and proper mallet technique.

Good Lord I'm scaring myself....

I am confused why some of the open corps have to go on before some of the Class A corps.  doesn't seem fair to the Open corps who are competing with corps that go on after there is a two corps gap.

This.

All corps scored on the same scale, and top 10 scores from prelims regardless of class get the voting membership, from what I recall.

To me, Class A is mostly to give some smaller corps a chance to compete against other corps more their size for Class A finalist spots, as opposed to perhaps being in over their heads against Open units.  Could be wrong... someone can correct if that's the case.

Of course, this year with a 10 Open and 4 A split... it's "all skate" at prelims and finals. LOL.
