kevingamin
Serious chops on the snares, even for Sky Alumni! Lots of stick visuals and they are steely eyed drummers while doing it.
kevingamin
Elk’s Parade. I didn’t know they could play louder.
kevingamin
“Start spreading the news...” Great down and dirty arrangement of New York, New York.
kevingamin
Classic drum break leading into the down and dirty finish that Sky is known for. Everybody steps as forward as they can for this one.
kevingamin
Announcer just said that Sky Alumni peaked out at “a bone crushing 108 decibels”. I can believe it.

kevingamin
I’m practically standing right next to the honor guard. I feel like I should pick up a saber or something.
kevingamin
The opener is Shostakovich Symphony No. 5, final movement, which then leads into the Tchaikovsky Coronation March.
kevingamin
Raymond Fudge and Chris Maher are all over the place getting great shots of the performing groups for Drum Corps World. I can’t wait to see what they put in the next edition! I’ll be in DCW as well, penning the reviews for the I&E/Mini Corps competitions on Friday night and Finals last night. kevingamin
Cru was nice enough to put their drum line in the center of the formation for this performance so I have a clear view of them for the entire show. Right now, they’re doing a little Unsquare Dance drum solo.
