kevingamin
After an intro right out of The Greatest Showman, the corps kicks into high gear with Caravan. The sound from the horn line is incredible.
kevingamin
Trumpet soloist midway through the song. Great range and technique. The whole trumpet section can lay claim to that, in fact. I stood in front of them for their victory concert Friday night and they sounded INCREDIBLE. So does the trap set player, who is NAILS. kevingamin
Next piece is The Kiss from Back To The Future III. This was originally performed by the Freelancers in 1991 and is a gorgeous ballad. This song also features the daughter of the alumni corps director as a featured dancer. She dances with one of the tuba players, who kisses her at the end of the song. It’s her fiancé, people. Calm down. 😄
kevingamin
Closer is Midnight In Miami from 1985 Suncoast Sound’s Florida Suite.

kevingamin
Another baritone and mellophone trade solos during a free time section before the corps goes into the fast paced finale of the song.

kevingamin
Pegasus from the Stan Kenton Orchestra. This is the arrangement played by the Blue Devils in their ‘80 and ‘82 championship seasons.
kevingamin
Next on the stage is the New York Skyliners Alumni from New York, New York. I can hear the Sky competitive corps members breaking into their corps song as they enter the auditorium.
