I am surprised Meehan didn't come up with a way to have them screech out some double c's in these last 3 or 4 years. There should be a way to turn either of them into quasi trumpets. Why go see something that looks like any other garden variety marching band with over-produced flamboyant pseudo off-Broadway props? Im holding out hope though! She had the look, the attitude, and of course, the talent. As maligned a show as it was . . . I saw lots to like there from Cadets. I still watch the Blu-ray! By season’s end, Cadets made that show into winner for me. Not opposed to new instrumentation, just not a fan of flute and clarinet squads charging? the front. If they’re doing this to make recruitment easier, that only makes sense if you’re recruiting fewer brass. If you’re adding members, you only want to fill the empty seats on the bus or add a full bus of members so that transportation costs are spread evenly and to the maximum extent.
