We went to Niagara Falls in 2017 when DCA was Rochester.  The Canadian border guard was chill when we went in but the US guy was all business. I thought he wasn’t going to let us back in.   😂

Gosh, stranded in Canada - what could be worse, eh?

Well arrested at the border by US guy and sent to one of those detention centres we hear about could be worse.  US guy probably thought that you were smuggling marijuana into the USA!

Its what we Canadians go through every time we go to the USA.  😉

except if you are a good hockey player.

If they shipped you off to Guantanamo or another Trump "resort," it's probaby due to your Canadian spelling (centre, honour, colour, Sidney Crosby, Justin Bieber, etc.)

We had a great time on the Canadian side.  I prefer it to the US side of the falls.

That's not just Canadian spelling, but the world English spelling - only Americans spell center, honor, color etc. that way.  Also, the USA is about the only country left in the world not using the SI (metric) system.  Just joshing.  😉

No shows in Lawrence.  Only at BC on a Saturday night.  Looks like a great show. I don’t believe there is a Tanglewood event.

If the Saturday night show is at BC, someone should tell DCI, as they currently have it listed in Lawrence.

I hope it is BC--that'd be walking distance for me, as opposed to driving out to Lawrence.

Some fast facts about the tour schedule:

  • The average number of shows (including Prelims) is 25, same as 2018.
  • Blue Stars have the most shows (29) and The Cadets the least (20).
  • Crossmen and Seattle Cascades increased the number of shows the most (+3) and The Cadets decreased the most (-10).
  • The first date all World Class corps compete on the same night is July 12 (same day on the tour calendar as last year).
  • Due to the DCI Southwest change, all World Class corps will compete on the same night only once before Indy (July 25 in Atlanta).
  • Last year's Gold and Silver medalists, Blue Devils and Bluecoats, will compete head-to-head for the first time on July 12 in St. Louis, MO.
  • They will be joined by last year's Bronze medalists, Santa Clara Vanguard, on July 14 in Broken Arrow, OK.
  • Seattle Cascades will be the final World Class corps to make its season debut on July 2 in Oregon.

Full schedule spreadsheet available here. I did this quickly and manually so please let me know if I made any mistakes.

thanks for your schedule work but please explain to color coding of event sites

Probably started back in the mid 18th century when we were ticked off at the King.  Seems like whatever England did, we did the opposite.  Driving on different sides of the road, soccer instead of football, cold beer instead of room temperature, etc.

Greektown Casino would be the closest.

As a former Detroiter, I'd consider staying in Windsor and taking the Tunnel Bus.

Best Western Plus Waterfront Hotel
277 Riverside Dr W, Windsor, Ontario N9A 5K4, Canada

Terri-if you use ykw's suggestion, try to have a free night where you can sit at a Windsor waterfront bar's patio after dark and take in the Detroit skyline. Almost forgot-while enjoying a Molson or two. It is a beautiful skyline.
