How so? They aren't looking to show it in court. They just want defense team access to review it "in order to prepare a proper defense."

because they could find out there's more there to screw him

Hey Hop. You’re done. You’re out of the activity forever, regardless of what happens in the courts. Your name is crap in the drum corps activity. You lose.

Wait a minute, hold on; "he's found Jesus".  (Or maybe a religion of convenience?)

And each time around there are more & more billable hours.

Yep. The only ones who win are the lawyers.

Not to get off topic but this is the most ridiculous example that I could find.

P.S. - I really wish they would hurry the case up. (now I'm back on topic)

So kind of a human mimicking a chicken....

IMO the full video could backfire on the defense.

They’re probably looking for more opportunities to find contradictions or ammo to shoot down anything.

Sometimes the defense at discovery requests a whole bunch of stuff they actually don't intend to use.  What they are usually doing is trying find some evidence that the prosecution had, but (for whatever reason) did not share with them as part of discovery.  If they find something, they then try to get the case thrown out due to prosecutorial misconduct.

And if the defense doesn't make these efforts & there is a conviction, the convicted party (GH in this case) could try for an appeal based on ineffective use of counsel.  (Defense attorneys hate ineffective use of counsel - it is bad for business & the bottom line).

No way to know if this is what is going on.  We will have to see how this all plays out.

I’d be curious to see how GH has presented himself to his attorneys. Probably as the victim of negativity by so many in the activity.

Prosecutors work for the government, and those defense attorneys who don't work for the government represent people who often have serious financial difficulties and risk running out of money.

So I wouldn't say that criminal cases taking more hours is a "win" for the lawyers as far as making money is concerned.

I've said before that he probably benefited from being so widely disliked.

Sadly, I agree. I think that will actually work in his favor. I wonder if his lawyers will use sites like DCP, Reddit etc. to show patterns of general angst against him.
