Bichon better fit when it tries to pass you in the hallway, etc. Personality pretty much same except Bichons are friendly to everyone and Boxers can be protective, especially with kids or handicapped. I had an English Staffordshire Bull Terrier until she passed away about a month ago at the age of almost 17. She was the sweetest and scariest dog I've ever owned. Plus, she was funny and would eat literally anything that crossed her snout including butterflies and rocks.
