I enjoy the folks on DCP and do not want to join BRASSO, so I will not reply to that fast ball about the Bay Area.

Is it possible to run a bingo game on Zoom?

Edited - Is it legal to run a bingo game on Zoom?

As I tell my biology students - adversity brings opportunities.  65 Million years ago the dinosaurs had a bad day.  But it provided just the opportunity the mammals needed.

It may be.

But there seems to be something about playing in person.

In N.J. they shut all the Casinos.

But,there's no indication there's been a big jump in on line casino betting.

Isn't online Bingo just another version of online gambling?

IDK how the laws work but isn't bingo exempt from many gaming laws?  If a Corps really wanted to make money they would open a casino, not a bingo hall.  But bingo is allowed, casino isn't as a moneymaker for a non-profit.

The different laws settle around bingo being a game of chance and online gambling being a game of skill.

But the chassis to run the games online could be exactly the same, it's just that casinos have never adapted to bingo and bingo parlors haven't had a reason to adopt it online.

I do think a significant attraction to bingo is the fellowship.  Perhaps video online webinar-type bingo could substitute.
