garfield
Don't know where else to put this: I'm sorry it has scientific and political overtones, but it actually should go in the "Feeling better" thread. https://thefederalist.com/2020/03/25/inaccurate-virus-models-are-panicking-officials-into-ill-advised-lockdowns/

I’m right... they’re wrong... unprecedented stuff going on and each group has “the” answer..... weird part is each different opinion might be right depending on what part of the country they look at.. Sigh. The paradox of preparedness strikes again. . . . . . . . . . . "Someone tells you not to light up a cigarette while you are pumping gas. You comply, and put the unlit match away. Nothing bad happens. You say: 'See, there was no danger of an explosion!'" . . . . . . . . . . (Also: who funds The Federalist?)

I think the issue is not one of paradox, it's one of balance and data. I think that's the message. (Also, I have not seen funding source references for any of your sources. Is that a requirement now to establish veracity? But, just in case Google is not your friend and encouraging you to scroll past the first few returns... Currently 2200+ and that’s with worst hit counties in basically a lockdown and rest of state in stay in place status and state cops closing non-essential businesses that don’t comply. Agree... Hate to think what would be going on if we didn’t take measures.
