We had an unpublished arrangement for band, with Organ and Piano as well as the ensemble. It was amazing. Ended up doing the Organ Symphony and Bacchanale with the marching band I taught, in 1995. From what I can see online, Phantom started the year quite strong - they won every show they were in up until the end of July. Then, BD went on to be all amorphous for a few seasons, until Jay and Scott reset the way Drum Corps was programmed in 1994...and won the whole #### thing, and changed the way programming would be done for years to come. The idea of staging the guard as the visual focal point had never been done. They masterfully executed it. That ("Tommy") is still an amazing show. Was anyone there? The DCI Midwest tour + DCI tour must have been a marathon. They were going about a week to ten days longer than the East corps.
