Sorry about that.  I don't have a subscription either but it let me read the whole thing.  Lots of good science.  This sentence summarizes my hope for the saving of the 2021 bridge tour: "At the current trajectory, I expect Covid will be mostly gone by April, allowing Americans to resume normal life."

well, with vaccines being delayed for delivery in many forms, i am not hopeful thats anywhere close to accurate

This activity depends upon the availability of rehearsal facilities and performance venues the majority of which are schools. Until that issue is resolved there will not be touring drum corps and no more face diapers to wear.

note only certain states seem to be talked about. and hey by then Texas should have power back

Covid cases have dropped 77% in six weeks. :dancin:

That is only part of what needs to happen if there will be Drum Corps in 2021.

Logistic & financials also need to work.

We all understand that you, as a marching member, really (REALLY!) want a 2021 season.  But unless the logistics & financials work out would be a huge mistake for DCI to have a 2021 event.  Is a 2021 event worth bankrupting DCI and several Drum Corps, perhaps ending the activity all together?

Have any of the “in” corps said what they are planning to do in Indy? Guessing saying a full show or not saying at all.

My thought is that BAC’s announcement on March 17th could give us an idea of what to expect in Indy for 2021 if there is a 2021. Personally I think it is going to be more of a series of exhibitions than a competitive event, perhaps a kick off event to 2022 and DCI’s 50th anniversary. If the event is successful, it would not be a bad time to announce a capital campaign however if it is the financial disaster some are predicting it will be, that would not be the best idea.
