Jast45
It looks like Bluecoats will be there. Looking forward to more details of their season. Here is what is on their website. “2021, here we come! After a long year of disappointment and uncertainty, we’re finally optimistic about bringing The Bluecoats back to the field this summer. With health and safety at the forefront of our planning, Bluecoats have a structure in place to allow us to safely create, rehearse and perform on a limited basis this summer! We recently hosted a webinar with the 2021 Bluecoats auditionees to discuss these plans for the upcoming season, which includes “spring training” in July, digital content creation, and several live performances in early August. The season will culminate in the DCI World Showcase August 12-14 in Indianapolis, where we will finally bring the Bluecoats Experience back to the world stage! Of course, the health, safety, and wellness of our community remain our utmost priority; as the situation changes surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, our plans and protocols may change too. That caveat notwithstanding, The Bluecoats can’t wait to perform for you again this summer! Stay tuned for exciting show reveals in the coming weeks!!” 1

Newseditor44
All signs point to Crown not going to Indy this year. I've heard Disney is a possible option, but don't know how reliable the info is at this time.

There are never rumors nor suspicions in Drum Corps, esp during the off-season. 😎
RetiredMusTeach
Just saw on Legends FB page that they will not field a corps this year.

It seems that most Open Class corps are not participating this year. I think participating this year is a financial challenge for any corps, but revenue sources for OC corps can be especially challenging. Add to this OC has more minors involved, minors require parental approval. Also we can’t forget that many students have found themselves falling behind and are concerned about college acceptance. Even though many colleges are waving the SAT and ACT, Kaplan and businesses that offer test prep/study skills are seeing huge increases in interest. These factors could impact whether an OC corps can participate this summer.
keystone3ply
From their FB page, looks like a prudent decision by Open Class Corps "Southwind": https://www.facebook.com/southwinddrumcorps/photos/a.454636200335/10159155418655336/ Edited March 29, 2021 by keystone3ply cx
