OldSnareDrummer
There's many, many of those who can be described as the "really good people" of drum corps present and past, but Jim stands out even among that fine group. Jim was kind enough to write for and assist one of the small corps I was working with in the late 70s. Our staff was completely blown away with his professionalism and never once did he look down on us because we didn't have 60 horns or were even close to being a contender. With respect, I'd say he's actually a Renaissance Man, a polymath who excels in several fields at the same time. We all learned from him, and we salute him on his 80th.
