Got me thinking of the Bari line makeup my last year marching horn. Firsts/leads were music majors or future music majors, 2nds HSers and techies (MRI tech and me studying IT), 3rds were blue collar guys (some railroad welders). Drove horn tech batty as would say “I want you to play it (bunch of musical terms). For the rest of you musical illiterates *smirk* (sings what he wants)”. He got the idea the day he used the musical terms and heard pair of thirds saying. “What the hell did he just say?” “Dunno, think he had Italian food and telling us what he ate”😈. Seriously we got along and being smart bleepers was our way of cutting the tension. IIRC the guy saying about Italian food ended up on Cabs staff later. PS - 6th in DCA that year and highest the corps had ever been up to that time... Edited March 14, 2021 by JimF-LowBari

Maybe we ask which instrument? They didn’t have chairs when I marched back in HS, but with long and steady diligence, I worked my way up to first rock.

Speaking of chairs, I don’t think we ever sat down at a rehearsal. keystone3ply
This may have been shared in an earlier post, but I was curious watching the NCAA Tournament* this weekend. It looks like the Lucas Oil Stadium capacity is set for 22% this month. Lucas Oil total capacity is 70,000 x .22 = 15,400 which is split into (2) basketball courts at 6900 & 8500 each. I'm hoping the 22% limit will increase into late summer as more folks get vaccinated & cases start to subside. The first article also has capacity limits for the other venues including the Hinkle Field House, Bankers Life, etc. *The VCU basketball team were scheduled to play Oregon last night. They had to forfeit due to positive COVID-19 cases & weren't able to put a 5-man team on the court. https://kslsports.com/455600/ncaa-tournament-attendance-fans-allowed-capacity/ https://www.nbcboston.com/news/sports/ncaa-sets-arena-limits-for-march-madness-at-22-capacity/2332969/ The ESPN bracket: http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/tournament/bracket Edited March 21, 2021 by keystone3ply cx

Current stats say cases are down 80% since January, so there should be no reason not to increase seats available.

Taking a guess at how many seats are available on 'concert side' between the end-zones; say 1/4 of total capacity (between both lower & upper decks) x 15,400= 3,850 seats. I've seen high school stadiums with more capacity (albeit without Covid restrictions).
