Every note is important. This was a long time ago, but I brought a friend of mine to a Montreal show in '91. I was blown away by Phantom and Cadets. I actually thought Cadets won - that show will never pale in my memory. L'Insolite played My Funny Valentine. That is what my friend appreciated. It was simple, beautiful and so melodic. That was an eye opener.

Someone came flaming back “I never slacked off (in a full sized corps) you owe us an apology”. 🤬🤬🤬

It was bizarre.. all I could think of some people think everything is about them. But my favorite movie line is from Marvels Dr Strange. The Ancient One tells the then arrogant Dr Strange: “I’m surprised you haven’t learned the ultimate truth.... it’s not about you”.

Well, that’s what happens when you are required to ‘social distance’ for 13+ months

Absolutely. Saw the Raiders from NJ the year they won Div. 3... I think they did music from Jesus Christ Superstar. 16 horns or so. They were great!!! A clinic on how to design a show for a small corps.

When watching DCA always schedule my stomach and bladder around the Governaires. Usually 20 or less horns but very balanced. And drill that doesn’t spread them out too much and hurt the sound Edited April 20, 2021 by JimF-LowBari
KeithHall
I, personally< would like DCI to put the same amount of effort into OC corps as they do with WC corps. The OC corps work just as hard!
