LOL!

There are no seat belts on a city bus.Ā  Ā Or air bags.

There are a lot of wind bags though.Ā

About 3 weeks after Sep 11, an email from Navy Safety Office with about 20 sayings like this made the rounds at Pentagon.Ā  This is the only one I remember, wish I would have saved it.

All registered voters will be in the drawing or you can add your name on a website...which is how they will do the students.Ā  Drawings will be done by the Ohio Lottery.Ā  Winners must prove they are fully vaccinated. Money is coming from the covid funds sent to the state by the feds...so yes, tax payer money.Ā  (Is there any other kind when talking government spending.)Ā  Gov. DeWine is receiving some flack (it was his idea).Ā  If I win a million I'll be all for it.

Just heard on the radio that when a name is pulled they will check itĀ

against their vaccination records.

Don't know what happens if you had it done out of state.

But,what they said was, that if the person whose name they pulled wasn't vaccinated, they pull another name.

But, the State of Ohio will send the first personĀ Ā a letter saying "oh by the way . . . "Ā .

Ohio hasĀ  an interesting idea for vaccinated people.

They're having a 5 week lottery starting May 26,2021.

They'll be a prize of $1,000,000 each week.

For "younger residents" they will have a prize of a 4 year scholarship to any State university, including tuition, room and board.

Ā

How is this even legal??

If the Ohio government doesnā€™t end up shutting this down, hopefully someone will run the numbers of vaccination rates before and after to see if the $5 mil+ was money well spent, or if theseĀ CARES funds could have been put to better use.

Its being run by the State of Ohio.

Their Governor announced it.

I would think they researched it before making the announcement.

Society has reached the point that I commonly find it impossible to distinguish seriousness from sarcasm. Ā

Ā

You would think. Ā

However, seems there is quite a bit of disagreement within the Ohio government as to the legality of it (or if itĀ is even a good idea).

what does it take to establish residency in Ohio again?

asking for a friend.Ā

Got any ā€œrelativesā€ you can live with šŸ˜†

First college roommate ā€œofficiallyā€ lived in Glen Campbell, PA (yes itā€™s a real place). I asked what it was like and he didnā€™t really know. He lived in NJ and grannie lived in GC. But it was a state college so state residents paid a lot less. So grannie would get his mail from the college and forward it to NJ

PS the guy is now a lawyer šŸ˜‡
