I dont believe BD made this decision to not participate on DCI this summer to " cause damage to DCI ". That seems a reach to me. But I do find it perplexing that BD decided to forgo DCI this summer, yet travel overseas where covid is currently raging, and vaccination rates lower than here in the US. In any event, despite BD's decision to attend all through this winter and spring, Basel sponsors there in Switzerland decided it was still unsafe to have the event there and cancelled it in May.
