are we done discussing this topic in relation to the drum corps activity?

Asking for a moderator....

Back on topic:  I remember when we had the high fuel prices on tour several years ago & most corps just put an empty gas can at their souvie trailer for donations.  I'm sure that was really beneficial & they received a large sum of money to put toward their tour fuel cost.

Corps Director: "How much did we receive tonight in fuel donations?"

Tour Manager: "About $4.51.  I'll add it to the staff rv."   :spitting:

Dumb question perhaps, since I  know next to nothing about tour logistics.... but how do corps handle fuel supply/costs? By that I mean... do they contract out or pre-pay with a supplier, pay as they go at the pump, or something else?

Unlike national food distributors, it might be a little harder to line up a national gasoline provider.  Then again, maybe the national ''truck stops" might work.  This is where the lead truck driver probably has that type of information/suggestions.
