I read somewhere that this auto stop function wears out engine components. 🤷‍♀️

My Volvo allows you to turn it off, which I usually do because I find it unnerving when I have a short time to pull into traffic.

I also have a Volvo, and turn it off because it also activates the brakes. This becomes a problem in car washes.

Was your experience in a car wash like this one?

Oh wow! No not like that. My wheels would simply lock-up and the car wash’s rollers would keep riding under my wheels. To solve the problem, I turn off the automatic engine shut off which I can with my Volvo. It did take me a few times with this happening for me to figure it out.

I do too after I read that.  I want to keep this car for a loooonnnnggg time.

I am with you. After only putting a few thousand miles on my car last year, my 2019 Volvo has very low miles. It is like new.
