Recommended Posts

FWIW, DCI also received PPP support in April 2020 for $324,000 and February 2021 for $303,200. (Source - https://projects.propublica.org/coronavirus/bailouts/search?q=drum+corps+international).

Looks like quite a few Drum Corps took out PPP loans.

So if any money that goes to DCI goes to the corps… is that double dipping? Is that legal?

I haven't seen any paperwork, but my guess is the individual corps submitted for money lost from their own operations, and DCI submitted for its operations that may, in turn, flow downhill to the corps.  Nothing illegal about that.  If you have a job and you belong to a trade group, you can get paid by both.

Not double dipping.

DCI is its own legal entity, the member corps are their own legal entities....

Also, PPP and Shuttered Venue are different programs.

well remember corps have their own revenues they bring in under normal circumstances that are theirs alone, so i doubt it
