Regiment needs to “update” programming to compete in the top six based on what gets awarded today and I get that. I just hope and pray they stay true to their roots of entertaining audiences with full melodic phrases….musical arrangements that move people. With their current staff I have no doubt that is exactly what they will do. Can’t tell you how proud I am as an alum of the entire organization for what you’ve accomplished this season. You’re rockin’ it! As for all the corps who step out on the field this season, you deserve a huge thank you from all of us! Your hard work and talents are truly appreciated. PRomoter Posted August 4, 2021 Share Posted August 4, 2021 Bluecoats. I’m not saying I dislike the show. I do like it. It’s just the new form of drum corps that I don’t understand yet. It seems that you don’t need great players as much as you need dancers and people who can pull off a Cirque show. I’m betting their show would win if there were judging, but I just don’t find it entertaining as much as self indulgent. It seems corps focused more than fan focused. Again, not taking away from it, I think it is interesting. Also going to admit I’m into classical more than Beatles, so, all my biases are fully revealed.
