Last night was the Boston Crusaders 80+1 Celebration/Reunion at Gillette Stadium. Boston is hosting 3 shows: tonight in Quincy; Wednesday and Thursday in Lawrence. I was thinking the same thing. Flip on Flo and no show. Now I have to take another quick nap after my usual early bird dinner to be able to stay awake for the real deal. Thinkin' I should have just taken vacation this week and next. Going to be a lot of late nights.
tedrick
What's the venue like?

Smallish but nice city owned stadium, recently rehabbed with new seats and a nice turf surface. Weather is 75 degrees and kibd of cloudy but no rain in the forecast. BAC and Bluecoats souvies both just arrived, and saw a BAC volunteer hugging a BLOO volunteer. I think that says it all.

OldSnareDrummer
I have no evidence whatsoever, but my gut tells me both Music City and SOA will come out with a Troopers-like attitude this year and make a very solid statement to the fans. Good on them if they do.
Tim K
1 minute ago, tedrick said: What's the venue like? It’s your basic bleacher set up. It’s a bit bigger than the average high school football stadium, but not as large as Allentown or the stadium in Lawrence where the next two shows will take place. Quincy is a good sized community with two high schools and is a sports oriented area. There is ample parking on side streets but it requires walking. This venue has probably been selected for a few reasons. One, many alums of drum corps, drill teams, and CYO bands that were common in Massachusetts back in the day now live south of Boston. Another is the venue was once popular for circuit shows. It creates a nostalgic feel while also being convenient.
