A Different Indy

We had a difficult time finding a restaurant open past 8pm, especially on Wednesday and Thursday. Downtown looked pretty grim after dark.  Hopefully, downtown Indy will recover by next August.

I really felt the opposite but I didn't arrive until Thursday. I was actually surprised how much was going on in Indy especially later in the week. Multiple events/conferences (Nascar, Racing, FOP), DCI, baseball games nightly, live music in the amphitheater, lots of people walking the canal/paddleboats, most restaurants booked up with reservations. I need to plan ahead for dinner reservations next year for sure!

I find Indy after dark to be a problem most years.  But we ultimately found the District Bre Pub and that was open until 2:00 AM.  I think it might become a go to spot since even Hooters closed at 10:00 this year.  So hard coming from New Orleans:  where are the 24 hour spots! LoL
