I spent some time last night looking around YouTube. If it’s there, it’s hidden well.

The video is probably "unlisted".  Therefore, you won't find in search.

Preview show tomorrow night at 9pm at War Memorial Stadium. Anyone in the area who might attend?

I drove thru Wyoming a couple years ago out on the I-80. For about 200 miles I swear I thought I was the only person in the state lol. No sign of life. Stopped for gas, saw a human, I almost cried lol.

But in all seriousness. Wyoming is a gorgeous state. Views are breathtaking.

I’ll be there!

(There = YouTube, hitting refresh ad nauseam, like Jesse Eisenberg at the end of that movie The Social Network.)

Next summer, we want to fly to Rapid City, SD, see the Badlands and the Black Hills, go to the Crazy Horse monument, Mt. Rushmore, Deadwood…. Then drive to Devil’s Tower, Yellowstone, the Tetons, Glacier NP, then fly home from Billings, MT. I figure that’s probably two weeks.  We have to do it before we become too decrepit. 😂

Wow that sounds like awesome trip!

Wife and I have talked about taking trips now that I am retired from the Navy. I want to drive everywhere for the trips, she wants to fly as she hates long drives. So we bicker about that for 30min, we go nowhere, and I end up on the couch watching SportsCenter at the end of the night. Great trip LMAO.

Done all that in a couple of driving trips to that area. Well worth it. Not the flash and glitz of Vegas or NY, etc. But super nice part of the country to see.

Maybe there is a Trooper's show nearby, too. Or come back south through Denver and catch a Drums Along the Rockies.

My son sent us a 9-minute video about 10 days ago and an 11-minute video a few days ago.  A lot of changes and improvement from the 1st to to 2nd and I'm sure there is more to come.  This is his age-out year and 1st year with BD, which was his dream.  During our years watching the activity I have never been a big fan of BD shows at the start of the season, but they always grow on me and I'm a fan by the end.  My take so far this year is the same, but I'm sure it will grow on me much faster this year with parental bias 😀.

I think my son had pretty much decided last year to finish his drum corps journey with his prior corps, but as they were about to take the field at Indy last year for their final performance, a staffer and BD vet said in his ear "Go to Blue Devils, you can do it." and here we are.  While I of course hope they can win this year, I just hope they have a great season and people enjoy their show and are on their feet at the end.  That's what it has all been about for my son, but I'm sure a medal around his neck at the end would be the perfect ending for him.  It's been a lot of fun and we will miss it, but the next couple months are gonna be great!!!
