The Cavaliers 2022

Recommended Posts

Per FB:

The Cavaliers will be instituting the following protocols for the remainder of the season:

  1. All outdoor rehearsals will remain open to the public at the present time. Please do not interact with members, staff, administration, or volunteers unless masked and observing a 10-foot distance.

  2. Please do not enter indoor rehearsals and housing sites- these are limited to members, staff, administration, volunteers, and housing site personnel.

  3. Please do not access the warmup and parking areas at rehearsals or shows. This is our biggest concern for transmission and is the most likely access point for our and other corps outbreaks.

  4. Any interaction with members, staff, administration, or volunteers should be outdoors, last 15 minutes or less, all individuals must wear a mask, and observe a 10-foot distance.

  5. Our members, staff, administration, and volunteers will be required to wear a mask indoors, on busses, and outdoors when around individuals outside of our “bubble”.

I know that these guidelines and protocols are an added measure and requires extra monitoring. But, as a fan of the activity, of the Cavies, and of students in the activity, thank you--for taking seriously the health of your members, and preservation of the commitment that they have made for the season. This too shall pass...eventually. But, in the meantime, rock it out, and make the best of it!  Cheering for you!

Not wanting to start a topic - perhaps someone can and will….

Don’t you think that DCI should announce heightened protocols for all corps such as what the Cavaliers and BAC have done on their own in light of an uptick in Covid cases (or so it seems)???

Nobody talking about the new ending?  Not sure if that’s a good sign.  I thought it gave the show some nice symmetry and made the use of the corner tarps make a little more sense.  A nice call back to 2003.  But not sure it was needed.  There are other parts of the show that could use some attention    A good soft ending needs to flow organically from whatever came before it.  This just feel’s tacked on

Its like a shell of what’s to come. Feel like there’s more to be added and refined
