Yes, it's the remnants of a circuit that used to have bands from all over the US and Canada.

I love that Colts does a cadets corps.  I mean SCV and BD can do those with the money they generate, but Colts aren't that big financially.  They could easily say "we're pouring these resources into our world class corps" but they don't, they commit to the mission of music education and corps experience for a whole range of students in Iowa who otherwise might not be able to go to a larger travel corps.

Neat.  I remember MBA (now BOA) used to have a summer nationals in Whitewater.

I did summer band.  The first MBA (now BOA) championship was in Whitewater in 1978.   In the summer.
