Are they even marching?

Recommended Posts

I don’t know when the change exactly took place but watching the streams tonight, it seems that no one is marching while playing a high volume of notes. It’s a bit disappointing to be honest. 😞

I understand.  But I feel like the Cadets this year do produce a solid mix of marching with the obligatory posing.  Marching and playing is not dead.  Now, will it be rewarded?  The judging drives what is perceived as achievement.

Guess you haven’t watched Crown?  Movement 2 & 5.  Percussion plays on the move as much as anyone too.

Im just gonna leave this video of "marching"

Ye' old Park n' Bark. I will say, considering the North Drums, I never blamed the tenors for not moving. Those things weighed approximately 6,000 lbs.

'83 Madison Scouts Strawberry Soup is another classic Pn'B moment.

I witness groups 'marching their ### off' last night in Memphis...
