DCI has basically sold out the stadium (only 455 tickets available in undesirable locations) so they will have to do something for ticket buyers. I could see a standstill but not all 16 corps. Precious Roy
Initial convection has fired up farther south, down around Columbus and Macon. That could either be good news (rain stays in that farther south zone today and tonight), or bad news (rain eventually works it's way north or develops farther north as the afternoon goes on). I'd still rather see a batch of rain move through Atlanta in the next couple of hours, and stabilize things for later on tonight. Not sure that's going to happen though. If possible can you report back weather & field conditions? Always good to have someone BOTG.

I'm hoping that DCI can at least give a credit for a canceled show for future shows, but I don't know. I don't thing DCI will get a refund for stadium contracts for rain outs but again I could be wrong.

DFA1970
Weather forecast is actually improving. It went from 80 percent to 40 to 50 percent thunderstorms. This event may actually happen. Fingers XXXX.

BlueStainGlass
My weather model say no rain. It's the same one I used yesterday, I just crossed out Murfreesboro and put Atlanta.

Here in Chattanooga, it's already looking like we're about to be hit by some sort of death storm. Luckily, my drive belt broke on the John Deere and my new one doesn't come in until tomorrow. SO I now have TWO excuses not to mow the lawn today. Shoulda saved one for tomorrow. Maybe the belt will get delayed in shipping!
Precious Roy
About to hit the road for Atlanta. I'm cautiously (but not blindingly) optimistic about the weather situation. At this point, I'll be fine with anything but a complete cancellation. But obviously the family and I would rather see and hear as many full field shows as possible -- it's our only opportunity for a live show this year.
