The whole is greater than the sum of the parts. Such beautiful patterns in costume and backdrops, but with eloquent coordination. I just don't think the grey jackets enhance that. So much more cohesive than the two preceding shows. It's great to hear new music on the drum corps field. Beautiful and powerful! Usually I am a big fan of theirs but I can't get into this one. Not enough Prokofiev. The could have found the music for the whole show in his epic opera War and Peace. Missed opportunity. Yeah, I was more into it earlier in the year. Don't know what happened other than other corps really catching my eyes and ears as season progressed.
