I am of the opinion that if one wants to compete at DCI one follows DCI’s rules.  A    professional rugby team isn’t allowed to compete in the NFL using rugby rules whilst the team’s that are competing against follow NFL rules.   Drum Corps is no different.

I think DCI is trying to get more Canadian groups (and groups from Asia or Europe) to take part. I have no problem with Calgary coming down and performing. Is it an exception? Sure. They have woodwinds. I get it. But can DCI do some favors once in a while? Absolutely. Eventually they likely have to conform to DCI's rules, or they can perform in exhibition. But for now...no issues.

This is the most new jersey thing ever, I love it

Needs a Wawa sign.  Or is there one in the billboards?

Love love love that Surf show. Is it enough to stay ahead of Southwind & Battalion and snag that 25th spot for Semis? I think so, but it won't be the craziest thing I've ever heard if either of the OC corps squeak in ahead of them. I wish they were cleaner! I do hope they use this season and the unique challenges they've faced as a springboard to recapture their 2019 skills.

Hope to see you again tomorrow, Surf! I think that would be a terrific end cap for the corps this year.

So many good Open Class units. Congrats to all. Spartans, Gold, Surf, BDB, Vanguard Cadets...all were amazing!!! Really enjoyed Calgary, Guardians, Southwind, Legends, Raiders, etc. And boy did Vanguard Cadets get good. When I first saw them on one of the FLO West Coast feeds they had only about 2/3 of the show completed. What a great sound from that group.

It was a strong run and they worked this show to the end of the season.  That's a nice thing to see as there's been some shows in the recent past where it seems they just sputtered and limped to Indy for some reason.
