I thought this was a predictions thread? When did it turn into a Blue Devil measuring contest?

1. Whoever wins.

All-time sporting franchises that haven’t 3-peated, The niners(a nod to your fandom haha) still have the second most Super Bowls for NFL franchises, the Pats, no national team in the history of football(the one actually played with feet) has done it. The biggest prize in club football, the champions league in Europe has only had one team do it once and that was Real Madrid. Just like in DCI, three-peats are rare, anywhere in *team* sports at least haha

' Not sure we should be comparing pro sports franchises, or even amateur team sports with the DCI Blue Devils as there are stark differences. That said, if we DO intend to compare amateur teams with the amateur youth level Blue Devils, then the Blue Devils have a ways to go yet to attain the level of accomplishments of ( for one example ) the Univ. of Iowa Hawkeyes team wrestling program. Since 1975 :

24 NCAA National Championships, 6 Silver Medals, 35 Big10 Conference Championships.

 9 consecutive  NCAA National Championships ( 1978-1986 ).

 11 "  three- peats "  :

 1...78.79.80.

 2...79,80.81

3...80,81,82

4...81,82,83

5...82,83,84

6...83,84,85.

7...84,85,86

8....95,96,97

9...96,97,98

10..97,98,99

 11...98,99,2000

They are also the reigning National Champion for 2021. They have 16 consecutive home meets where they have averaged over 10,000 in attendance, and have set the record for the largest home attendance of 42,284. ( there are currently 79 Division 1 College Wrestling Programs... 20-22 World Class Division Drum Corps. )

As mentioned its not a good comparison to compare DCI Blue Devils for a host of reasons. For just one example, if one wants to participate in the Univ. of Iowa wrestling program, one cant transfer to their program from another school's program and just step right in . NCAA rules make a student have to move to that school's location, take up residence in that immediate environs, enroll in their school there full time, then sit out a season, before being allowed to compete with other amateur collegiate programs as a member of the Univ. Iowa Wrestling Program.  Thus, comparing NCAA or Pro sports programs with DCI is fraught with some difficulty, as there are some pretty significant and quite obvious differences between the two, imo.

I have a feeling Top 5 is gonna change dramatically. Should corps like Crown and Boston keep their staff, it's safe to say they'll perform well next year. Also seems to be an upward trend for Mandarins too.

Similar dominance, but the Blue Devils never went a full decade with out a title like Iowa did 2011 through 2020. I know the tournament was canceled in 2020.

Threads in general take a turn to other topics. One thread I can't remember this summer went to what city had the best pizza. Nothing to do with the original question.
