Popular Post craiga
Congratulations to the Boston Crusaders and its parent organization Inspire Arts and Music for receiving the Chick-Fil-A True Inspiration Award of $50,000! craiga
The press release just posted says Inspire is going to invest these funds in its Hyde Park Percussion Ensemble (HYPE), both in purchasing equipment and hiring additional staff. This is awesome since those underserved urban kids aren't asked to pay anything to take part. I am so proud of this organization!

craiga
Safe travels and best of luck to all the BAC members and staff as they gather this weekend in Texas. Auditions and call backs for brass and percussion are behind us, which means this is the first full out production camp for the corps. I am excited to see where this season takes us!

If anyone doesn't agree with the political direction of a business or its owner, we are all free to not give them our business. It would be absurd, however to refuse a $50,000 award which will undoubtedly benefit many young people of amazingly diverse backgrounds, races, sexual orientations and identities. It would also be an example of cancel culture at its worst. And, I say this as a gay man. this. in spite of the company and owners stances, this goes to exactly what they don't want supported 2
