Terri Schehr Posted September 5, 2022 Share Posted September 5, 2022 I like the Cavaliers a lot. What the heck is going on? I thought their brassline was really on it’s way in 2019. They seemed to take a step back this year. I know they had Covid issues but I’m not sure that was the only thing. I have a few thoughts but they’re pure speculation on my part and I’m not sure the places where he could end up are looking for a new brass caption head. Before he took the Cavies position, I recall hearing that he hoped to be a part of a corps on an upward trajectory and wanted to shape the corps musically. I'm not saying that he was relieved of his duties, but I'd say that he was tied to Michael Martin and that pedagogical team. In my mind, whether he was fired or he resigned is academic - the Cavaliers organization has created an environment where he no longer belonged (either by their hand or his).
