That's a great view of some of the operational aspects of running a DCI corps on tour.   For all the kvetching about expenditures on props etc., this is where the money gets spent and some of where the marcher experience is solidified as a positive one.  Blue Stars are getting this part right and it'll attract and retain the talent for competitive climbing and longevity.  A healthy happy corps is one ready to work their tail off and perform in spades.
