Yes. And in such an insular industry, this would be shooting themselves in the foot. 🤷🏽‍♀️

True.  But Pioneer didn’t fit well into the current DCI brand.  If the same thing happened at a top 15 Corps DCI does little to nothing.  SoA’s time-out was self-imposed

Wake me up when industry has taken legitimate, transparent action to reduce the of harming young bodies, stop tarnishing what goodness there is in drum corps, and ultimately self-harming by remaining so insular. There are long-standing solutions out there that are far more advanced and sound than anything I could offer. It doesn't even have to be up to younger people.

But they have to acknowledge the problem first. Has there been a singular formal apology from an organization to a survivor yet? Wake me up when that happens too (or if I missed one, I'd love to read it.)

See also: a successful unit director who moved to another successful organization, then "retired".
