DCI said no Pioneer with Blenskis involved.

One of the rare times DCI has actually put it's foot down.

USA Fencing HAS banned a number of people -- mostly for sexual issues --  https://www.usafencing.org/ineligible-suspended-list

DCI needs to stop protecting it's own when they cross the line.

Yes. And in such an insular industry, this would be shooting themselves in the foot. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Or it would give younger talent a chance to shine

True.  But Pioneer didn’t fit well into the current DCI brand.  If the same thing happened at a top 15 Corps DCI does little to nothing.  SoA’s time-out was self-imposed

They basically pushed Hop out

Hope you're having a good Friday, Ream.

Wake me up when industry has taken legitimate, transparent action to reduce the of harming young bodies, stop tarnishing what goodness there is in drum corps, and ultimately self-harming by remaining so insular. There are long-standing solutions out there that are far more advanced and sound than anything I could offer. It doesn't even have to be up to younger people.

But they have to acknowledge the problem first. Has there been a singular formal apology from an organization to a survivor yet? Wake me up when that happens too (or if I missed one, I'd love to read it.)
