The west coast doesn't have nearly as rich a legacy as the east in terms of senior corps.

My friend Alex Duff was the drum corps' public affairs officer, and he liked my work (one of three people who did 😂)... so he let me do the gig instead of the usual "Marine voice" the corps used. Quite an honor! your work was never the issue. Now your wardrobe.....

And this was a Senior corps. 🤔 OK during the English “war of the roses” the house of York (symbol white rose) fought the house of Lancaster (symbol red rose). Central PA has cities of York and Lancaster. And both call themselves “the … rose city”.

And there was a corps called Satan’s Angels from Bellefontaine, Ohio. Edited January 28, 2023 by Terri Schehr 1

Anyway the jacket has a big Hershey bat then says Chocolaters American Legion post # Edited January 29, 2023 by totaleefree 1
ironlips
Here's a plan: Truncate the DCA competitive season down to a month, the last 3 weeks of August and the first week in September. DCI performers who wished to could then march this extended season with DCA corps after Indy. (Some already do this.) It would be the drum corps equivalent to those post-season football games like the East/West Shrine, the Pro Bowl or the College All-Star events. How many shows do most DCA corps do now compared to your idea?

I tried to consult the DCA website, but it seems to be down at present. I suppose they could do non-judged shows in July or other appearances as a run-up to the competition schedule I suggested but, much as this makes sense to me, I doubt there will be any serious consideration of this scheme. This is just theoretical, hot-stove-league chatter on my part anyway.
