DCI income online vs live viewing?

Recommended Posts

Have never gone to DCI championship week but had Flo last year and plan to try watching for 2023. Did go to DCA championship weekend for years but have done online for 10 years for various reasons.

Of course buying tickets for all the events costs a lot more than buying online package. But no idea how much of a cut DCI (or DCA) gets either way. Any thoughts or knowledge on what DCI takes in either way? IOW is DCI taking a large $$$ hit if people stay home instead of going to Indy

DCI IS the corps.  DCI is operated by the directors of member corps.

i'd be interested to see how much goes to DCI. and with fewer live events this summer, i am sure streaming numbers could be up

How about how much goes to the individual corps and how much goes to operating expenses of the DCI organization. Or do individual corps pay DCI operating expenses

Directly, nothing. If DCI shows a profit on the theatre events, then it presumably goes into the pot that gets split at the end of the season.
