JohnDF Posted August 10 Share Posted August 10 It's been super fun comparing the captions between the Mandarins and vanguard. They've really been trading blows in every caption except percussing. Percussion seems to be Mandarins' weakness, where it is a total strength for vanguard. Otherwise the captions were too close to call last night. Jake W. Posted August 11 Share Posted August 11 What an incredible last performance of an INCREDIBLE show!!!! Thank you so so so so so much for this show this season, Mandarins. I loved every second of it. I didn't think Sinnerman could be topped, and then this magical program arrived and I was hooked. Someone on Reddit commented recently that it didn't seem like the Mandarins were showing up to compete this season - in the best of ways - and that their performance slot each show was more of a moment in time where events stopped, people listened, and art happened. I could not agree more. Sinnerman arrived with the bog boys, and Vieux Carre stabilized that arrival. I looked forward to this show each time I saw it, and will revisit it over & over. Congrats on an absolutely incredible season performing the heck out of a brilliantly entertaining and deceptively challenging show. When those walls fell again after the performance ended so all the MMs could see their ovation and the crowd gave an extra ROAR--talk about a core memory for those performers. So proud of them all! I'm already looking forward to what they bring us next year.
