OldSnareDrummer
Thank you for joining us here today, Nate. First question. Are you out of your ever freaking mind taking this job? 1
keystone3ply
Like he eventually learned to water ski, he should strap on a 32" marching timpani & march around with it for a day in the Texas heat. "Welcome to DCI Nate!" Nice close up @:40 Edited November 16 by keystone3ply cx 1
Jeff Ream
decent interview. questions could have been a little harder hitting, but he's been on the job for 2 weeks. i do appreciate his honesty about not being from within the activity Edited November 17 by Jeff Ream

In addition to the obvious issues, I hope he works to promote the activity on a national & international level. He did seem to address this issue & maybe has some ideas brewing. Gotta finish the last part later today. Edited November 17 by keystone3ply cx
Terri Schehr
I like that they went outside of the “old boys club”. He has a sense of humor, which is good. That will come in handy while dealing with those crazy people. It gets crowded in the room with all of those egos, Nate. SNModdison
He made it sound like he's going to take the whole first season before really implementing any change. I sure hope he has good ideas how to make the activity viable moving forward. He wants to think outside the box to figure out how to get more revenue and sponsorships and to get DCI back on ESPN even was mentioned. I appreciate him doing this interview! I'm cautiously optimistic.

I'm cautiously optimistic. I mean, espn airs corn hole, cheerleading, pickle ball, & the spelling bee competitions. Seems like there should be a larger audience base with the number of students, educators, parents, grandparents, etc that participate in music programs. In addition, they have multiple channels & espn+. I've never really understood why they don't air the college band competitions on espnU. I've never really understood why they don't air the college band competitions on espnU. music licensing and the cost. thats why most tv ignores bands. i remember an article years ago ESPN needed to know what the bands for the college football playoff games would be playing so they could get to work on rights permissions.
