Fortissimos, Flams and Flags at the Fort: Drums Along the Rockies, Fort Collins, CO, July 13, 2024

Blue Knights are in a good position to remain in finals. I thought the ballad was excellent but the show lost momentum afterwards. A lower brass ensemble with the electric guitar needs work though judging from their faces afterwards, they looked satisfied with it. A show with an ending needing work is not new for BK. They often don’t have the endings complete until later which will probably be the case this year.

Blue Knights looked and sounded incredible! Their closer seemed to run out of gas, but that’s probably because of the altitude. I was blown away! They’ll certainly be returning to finals and will probably improve their placement from last year.

If any corps should be used to the altitude... heh.

I think it's just a stamina thing as they build on the show. They'll have it sorted by the end of the season.

Haven't seen Crossmen or Madison yet, but with the exception of SCV replacing The Cadets, sure seems like there's a very good chance we'll see the same Top 12 in Finals as last year.

I'd love to see PC in there, but yeah, not sure who they can bounce at this point.

Boston up about a point on Crown tonight in Little Rock. Crown took brass, music analysis and visual analysis. Boston took the rest.

1 Boston Crusaders 86.150
2 Carolina Crown 85.250
3 Crossmen 77.200
4 Spirit of Atlanta 75.250
5 Music City 73.100

Me too. I thought there was a good chance they'd get in, but looking at the numbers, I don't think there's a spot.

Based on scores, Crossmen will likely be the contender to challenge the 12th spot.
And like I said, I think BK is a strong corps this season.
