It was kind of funny … she looked at me … I looked at her and then hey, did you march … ? And we took it from there! Wow what are the odds?

I need some high energy fellow audience members around me. Unfortunately the crowd sure has changed. Used to be you'd see hundreds of corp jackets at shows... and now you don't see any.

He was DM in 75.

The rest of the time, whoever is playing is stationary with others moving to make it look like they play and march. Some corps do this, but most don’t and not to this extreme . i have nothing against PR design p. Great show. But it is park and bark to the extreme. It’s not true they only move and play from the Z-Pull onward. I just watched Regiment and Crown with a stopwatch. I chose Regiment because you insinuate they move and play the least and Crown because (without timing everyone) I believe they play and move the most. By most I mean I’m only timing when the full horn line is moving and playing at the same time and not body movement - actually doing continuous marching/drill while playing. Crown’s full horn line played and moved for 3:06, where as Regiment’s played and moved for 1:34. Give or take a few seconds on each. So while Crown marched and played 1 minute and 32 seconds more than Regiment, if we’re talking 11 1/2 to 12 1/2 minute shows, then both corps are park and bark to the extreme. Everyone is park and bark to the extreme these days. No one moves and plays like corps used to. I absolutely believe Crown plays and moves the most, so if I timed other corps, I would bet most of them are playing and marching in line with what Regiment is doing. The members today are doing other things. Regiment’s members are spending time fully integrating their props within the drill and visual program, Crown’s members are not spending time doing that. Crown’s props frame the visual, Regiment’s are integrated into the visual. So when you look at these shows side by side, one is not more difficult than the other. They are just doing different things, both of which are highly challenging. Edited August 6 by Vuitton

San Bernardino show, it was so hot the Devil tapped me on the shoulder and asked for directions to the souvie booths.
Terri Schehr
I almost forgot. I saw some kids who had performed before intermission seat jockeying last night. That seems like a bad idea if you’ve already had sickness going through these corps. Edited August 6 by Terri Schehr
