Columbians or Battalion will be the potential spoilers. I’m not convinced we will see the same placements tonight in OC and two that could trade places are Columbians and Battalion. I am hoping BDB and Spartans will not trade places. I enjoy Spartans shows each year and have known folks associated with the corps and respect the organization. However I can’t imagine BDB giving anything away. It will be interesting. I know Surf was disappointed to have two shows rained out and no judges comments or feedback. I do think Surf’s show is better than Cascades or at least more enjoyable, but Cascades is doing a better job at presenting a cleaner and more consistent show. I was at both Egg Harbor and Allentown and did feel what the presented musically from their show was stronger than last year. It’s also a mature show.

Battalion and Columbians both have really well designed shows.  Very smart OC design.

Surf is a blast and I want to see them in too though.  And yeah Seattle is on this bubble too.

Funny story...

Seattle was waiting out a rain delay.

My son said, "They're from Seattle, let them perform in the rain, it'll give them an instant two point bump in score." 😂

Is this an observation of staff, or hyperactive MMs?

DCI staff is who would flag if people aren't in the approved spots. almost Crossmen a finals slot and i think one other corps got hit too.

It will certainly be interesting. Both have good shows and both perform them well. The judges will get a fair read on them going back-to-back tonight... may the best show in.

having seen Spartans live, that show is designed for the big house.

The thing I hate about Spartans is they won't move up. If they opened that talent pool to over 18 they could be up there in world fighting with all the groups fighting for 12th

BDB is the same. I think age 18-19 is the max. If BDB opened up to 21, they would also give some WC corps a run for their money.

But there are a feeder for BD.  Spartans just turnover alot and then make them good again.  Their indoor group is really good too but not sure if there is overlap.
