It’s not for lack of resources, if they wanted to try it again.  It’s been 31 years since they last competed, they certainly succeeded in achieving a lot in a short time with their impressive creativity & performances of continually progressing complexity and quality (high brass 4 of 9 years).  I’m sure they would be a welcome presence in the top 5 once again.

Or wouldn’t it be nice if they used their resources to help fund existing struggling corps, instead?

they haven't restarted because they still exist and are producing a production in Japan under the blast name.

Today’s dci performing organizations are certainly creative at multitasking, it’s possible to have both stage and field programs.  This organization could easily do both if wanted to.

It doesn’t hurt to pose the question to see the interest out there.  There shouldn’t be anyone opposed to a brand new corps entering the top 10.  The more competition the better for all.

I thought Bill Cook got frustrated with the politics of DCI & started the Blast productions?

After he did Brass Theatre with the Canadian Brass.  Not sure if he had a lot of input during the initial Blast formation.

That's exactly what was happening when Star was in DCI. Most people have no understanding of the support Bill gave to other groups, many times of an emergency nature.

That ship sailed across the sea with the wind of the boos.
