Troopers just posted they lost their food truck. Every corps needs money. This whole activity needs money. But if you have anything to donate, consider helping them out. This directly affects their future.

Dear Friends,

On Thursday, July 17th, disaster struck. Our beloved food truck, essential to feeding our members and staff on tour, suffered a catastrophic frame crack and had to be abandoned in San Antonio, Texas. Whether it will be repaired or retired remains uncertain.

In the spirit of the Troopers, and thanks to the drum corps community, we didn’t miss a beat. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our friends at Vessel Drum and Bugle Corps, we were able to borrow their food truck and continue our 2025 tour. But make no mistake, this was a major blow. The potential loss of our food truck presents a serious and unexpected financial burden heading into next season. Replacing and outfitting a new truck could cost hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Every summer, we take part in the Drum Corps Rivalry, a friendly fundraising competition between corps. Normally, it’s all in good fun. But this year, it’s different. We’re rallying our community not for bragging rights, but to protect our future.

We’re asking you to do one of two things:
Support our Food Truck Fund or Sponsor a Meal for the Corps

Either choice directly impacts our ability to care for our members.

Visit www.DrumCorpsRivalry.org today and stand with the Troopers and let's win it for Team West!

Sincerely,

Michael Gough
Executive Director
Troopers Drum & Bugle Corps

This historic drum corps has been on a steady upward trajectory and was as far as can be known well-positioned for the near future. I hope that they're able to surmount this challenge.

I'm in.

Thank you to Vessel. As is almost always the case, the community sticks together in times of need.

Agreed. I just donated money for Erie Thunderbirds to do a massive food order for the Battalion as they are here this weekend. I would have given more to Troopers if I had it but I’ll certainly be seeing what I can give into this off season.

Ugh, I feel terrible for the corp.  Time to step up and help out.  Donation coming.
