Sideways Posted August 10, 2025 Posted August 10, 2025 I’ll ask it again…you can total do a revamp of 1993 with a modern Devils visual design and people will love you. You can even use life size foam paint brushes again. You know you want to do this…. 3 Quote
DrumManTx Posted August 10, 2025 Posted August 10, 2025 When BD mixes things up, it creates something magical (thinking 2014/2017). I am hoping for a little refresh creatively and that's all. This year had some segments I adored, hoping for a show full of them next year. 4 Quote

NakedEye Posted August 11, 2025 Posted August 11, 2025 Whatever they come up with, I hope it allows for some time for the members to have a bit more fun with the material. 2025 was filled with moods like aloofness, contemplation, measured control, some grandeur and occasional intensity, but the performers rarely got a chance to cut loose with moments of joy. That doesn't mean inject the show with "tricks and giggles" like BAC, but some sections where they can engage with the audience a bit more. A lot of the great shows of the past have had that - the tap shoes in 2019, ballad in 2017, tambourines in 2014, "Say a Little Prayer" in 2011, the "monkey drumming" and cymbal rack in 2003, etc. etc." The Bluecoats kids this year looked like they were having the absolute time of their lives through much of their production, and after a few years in the cerebral wilderness, BD is overdue for a taste of that. 5 Quote

I think I enjoyed 2025 a lot more than you did, but I don't disagree on the general principle of wanting them to have fun out there. 2 Quote
